Had a full synthetic oil change done, and then my wife topped off with half a quart of conventional oil recently.

Is there a major issue with this, and do I need to drain and refill with synthetic to purge out the conventional, or is this not a problem?

No just run it like that until you have to add oil or next oil change. There is semi synthetic on the market which is 25% synthetic oil. You may see your oil go a little faster than normal however due to the mineral oil your wife added. Won't hurt it abit.
