When I drive at highway speed 60+ mph, I get a heavy vibration in the steering wheel, almost 1 inch in either direction. When I take my foot off the gas the vibration seams to go away. I do not feel anything in the break pedal when I apply the breaks. At lower speeds there is no vibration. I had the wheels balanced twice and it did not correct the problem. Any thoughts.

Hi there.

If the wheel balance is ok, check that the steering components have no wear, check suspension, wheel bearings, but this is very much like a tyre problem, also make sure that they have not just been adding excessive weights to try and over come a larger problem with a distorted tyre or a faulty rim.
