Beeping

My 1992 Samurai, stick shift, 4 wheel drive makes a beeping noise everytime it rains. The engine was rebuilt in 2004 and has 45,500 miles on the rebuild. It is 4 cylinder. What is it trying to tell me?

I know your question is 6 months old, but I recently had a beeping problem more than a week after the battery went dead.
It seems it is the ALARM. I bought my '96 x-90 used and never knew I had an alarm until now. In my case, the alarm stopped when I jump started the car.
I have no remote controller for the alarm, so I guess I should keep the battery charged.

I don't know why rain is causing your beeping, unless water is getting the wiring wet. I am no expert.
