2006 Subaru Outback Center Brake Light

The center brake light (located in the spoiler above the rear window) does not light. Could this be a fuse of switch? Or is the overpriced spoiler assembly into which the LED brake light is sealed?

Check the ground wire on top of center of trunk

But since I know little about cars - how do I check the ground wire?

Use a DVOM and do a continuity test from that ground point to a chassis ground-should read zero read if infinite its open
