Recently purchased at 91,000, the exhaust system looks fairly new. It sounds like there is a hollow que ball size object inside my catalytic converter that rattles loudly upon acceleration. What's going on in there?

The insides of the the converter must have come loose. This can cause a back pressure problem, poor fuel economy, and engine failure. I recommend having it replaced.

Let me know if you have other questions.
