Need Code reader for 94 Subaru SVX
Hi, my nae is Patti. I tried really hard to give you some money, but my paypal account just shut down due to the fact that I couldn't remember my info and I struck out three times.
If you can answer this question -I promise to come back and donate!
I have to set you up here...
I was going to buy a code reader for my other half Ben's birthday. He's a former Subaru dealership mechanic.
The car in question is a '94 Subaru SVX.
I cannot find a code scanner for it anywhere. The Subaru scanner is called a 'select monitor', and they sell them, but the price is thousands and I need under 200. I'd like both OBD I and OBD II for including other cars.
All the Japanese scanners I found do everything BUT Subarus, and the Subaru scanners do everything BUT the SVX. Someone must have made an aftermarket scanner for the pre-96 cars.. so their own mechanics could work on them. I'll cross my fingers that you have that elusive answer. Thanks a million, :) Patti

Hi PAtti,
Try to get an OTC scanner. Keep an eye on E-bay.
This is one site that may help to get your feet wet in your search.

IT is more than you want to spend...but isn't that usually the case?
Hey heres on in your range!

Before you buy, ask about it's capabilities.
Good Hunting!
I'll be looking for that "Have DONATED" next to your name- :D
