hood release

I have a 91 Subaru loyale, with a busted hood release cable. The hood is fully latched. Does anyone have a trick to getting the hood open without a functioning cable? And I'll probably need advice on replacing the old one once it's open. I'm a novice when it comes to working on this car. thanks in advance. DD

yes you can take off the front grill to get to it or you can reach up under the hood and find where the release is to open it. easier to do on trucks, dont cut yourself.
