I have a 1995 subaru legacy wagon with 199000 miles. The clutch is slipping and as soon as the weather breaks I am planning on replacing it. In addition to the service manual info, is there any extra advice, tricks, or other info that will help with the r&r?

What I would do, make sure you have everything you need including a clutch allignment tool and a torque wrench. Before you put it all back to gether check everything. Twice

Are you sure the clutch isnt just out of adjustment?I would make sure that there is suffecient freeplay before replacing the clutch. On a 95 as the disc wears you actually lose freeplay which sometimes doesnt allow the proper release of the clutch fork.
