Hi, I have a 1990 subaru with a 1.8L. It has a blown head gasket, and I have removed all of the bolts and took off everything that I needed to remove the head, but it is still stuck to the block, and I cannot get it off no matter what I try to do, and I don't want to damage the head or the block. If you have any more ideas about how to get it unstuck, please let me know.
Thank you very much!

I had the same problem with mine on my 84' 1.8L. I hate to say this but I had to take it off with a chisel. It was really burned on there. If your really careful not to damage the sealing surface while your doing this you will be ok. Also soaking it with any kind of solvent would be a good idea. I Believe I used WD40

Good luck with it. Be careful. :)
