Shakes or Wobbles problem
1988 Other Subaru Models 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 160000 miles

I took my xt6 to tire shop to check balance of tires. I have had a rear vibration at about 40 mph and kind of suspected ujoints.The tire tech drove the vehicle and said that that what he thought was the problem.

Question is,I have 3 sets of ujoints and a carrier bearing in the middle. How do I know if the carrier bearing needs to be replaced? Should I do all at once? He quote around $500 for bearing,joints and balance drive line.
