My car engine works very good, despite of mileage 583000 km. Yes we did psi compression and come out 120 psi in each of 4 cillinder. In subaru manual it states the compression ratio should be 9, 00:1 what does it mean by the psi compressio.
What would be normal copression for that type of car?
Thank you for your answer.
kind regards

Compression ratio is the ratio of the volume between the piston and cylinder head before and after a compression.
The ratio should be 9.0 : 1 for the 1.6L engine. It should have 175 psi compression pressure. The minimum compression pressure needed to run is 128 psi. Your vehicle has low compression at all cylinders if you are running the 1.6L engine.
