Transmission problem
2004 Subaru Forester 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 60000 miles

just recently my forester shudders when slowly accelerating while turning. Most noticeable when in a parking garage and turning/accelerating slowly.

Any idea if this an AWD issue, transmission or other. i've been meaning to have my transmission fluid changed. should I try this first and see if anything changes?

this transmission has always seemed to slip somewhat when first putting the car into gear from reverse and accelerating. Other than this, i have had no issues with this great car.

money is tight right now, so I'm hesitant to take it to the dealer b/c they are always outrageous. They wanted almost $400 for new brake pads and had it done at a local shop for less than $200.
