Ac squealing noise
Air Conditioning problem
1999 Subaru Forester 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 90,000 miles
My 99 Forester makes a loud squealing noise when I start it with the AC on. The AC cools just fine. At higher speeds this two second long loud squeal turns into more of a short squeal/air woosh sound like "pshhhhhhhh." It happens at regular intervals while driving anytime the AC is on. It sounds fine when the AC is off. What do you think the problem is?
