About a month ago the security light came on. Started having starting problems. Used the 10 minute's key on trick.
I tried installing the resisters in the pass lock wiring. No help. Car always started using the 10 minute trick.
Then, while driving down the highway, the car shut off. After 30 minutes it started and I brought it home.
I've replaced the ignition lock cylinder, cleaned the bad contacts in the ignition switch. No help. I purchased the Pro module from new Rockies to "completely bypass the security system". After the relearn the car started with no security light. Shut it off to reinstall the dash, restarted to move and the security light was back on. Shut it off to see if the light would go off but the car wouldn't start again.

I took the module out and ordered a new AC delco BCM. Had the car towed to the dealer where they programmed the BCM. Now the car starts but the security light is still on, even after clearing the code.
I'm afraid to take it anywhere for fear of it either not starting again or just shutting off.
I'm just about at the end of the line.

Just to clarify, you installed a bypass system and the light is still on? If that is the case then the light being on will not effect the starting of the vehicle if you have a bypassed it.

However, here is the testing that we need to do for this code. We need to run through this in order to find out what the issue may be.

Here are some guides that will help with this:
