2004 Saturn Vue engine? Whine

As you see, I have a 2004 saturn vue that lately seems to have a louder than usual engine whine as acceleration increases The vehicle is in good shape, regular oil changes. No major problems, just brakes. Some have thought it is from wear on tires I need new ones, but still have tread. Should I be concerned or is this normal? The car seems fine in all other ways and I have been very pleased with its performance. Thank you

Can you hear the when when your in park reving the engine up?Or can you only hear it while your driving?

So if you put it in neutral while driving does the whine go away. If you change lane's or or turn the wheel to the left or the right does the noise get louder or quieter?Run your hand across all four of the tire tread's see if there is any uneveness in any of the tire tread's.
