I have an 03 Saturn Vue, about 3 weeks ago my dash lights went out and now my tail lights are out. I have blinkers, hazards, brake lights, head light, DTR, reverse lights, everything else works. What could be the problem?

Hello,

There are 4 fuses that run the system I would check all of them to start. Then I would cycle the hazard switch become the contacts get a little corroded which will make the lights not work.

Here are some guides that will help you get the tail lights.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-test-light-circuit-tester

Also I see the BCM controls these circuits to test for power output there to confirm the BCM failure.

Please let us know what you find. I'm interested to see what it is.

Cheers, Ken

My 2003 Saturn Vue has no tail lights or dash lights. I have brake lights, turn signals, headlights, hazard lights, and lights when I'm backing up. I had the fuses checked, and they are all good. What can be the problem?

Welcome to the forum. Did you use a testlite on the parklamp fuse, there should be voltage? You may need to check the voltage feed to and from the combination switch. If that checks out, I suspect the combination switch or wiring in steering column.

I had the fuses checked at the Advanced Auto Part store since I can't get it into the shop until tomorrow. They are going to check the voltage when I go in. I was just trying to get some info so I would be more knowledgeable.
Thank you.

Hi, if you have a testlite, you can check for voltage. Not very expensive.

If you replaced the headlight switch in your 2003 Saturn Vue and now your dash lights and park lights are not turning on, it's possible that there could be an issue with the installation or a related electrical component. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take:

Double-check the connections: Ensure that all the electrical connections related to the headlight switch are properly connected and secure. Sometimes, during the replacement process, a connector might not be fully seated or could have been disconnected accidentally.

Verify the switch functionality: Make sure the new headlight switch is functioning correctly. Confirm that it is the correct switch for your vehicle and that all the necessary connections and wiring are in place. If possible, reinstall the old switch to see if the dash lights and park lights work with it.

Check fuses: Inspect the fuse box for any blown fuses related to the dash lights or park lights. Refer to your vehicle's manual to locate the specific fuse(s) associated with these lights and check their condition. Replace any blown fuses with new ones of the appropriate rating.

Inspect wiring: Examine the wiring connected to the headlight switch for any signs of damage, loose connections, or corrosion. If you notice any issues, repairs or replacements may be necessary.
