1996 Saturn SL2 Manual

My car has a hard time starting. I usually need to put the clutch and accelerator in to get it started. I just changed the plugs and wires and have no codes. An help would be great!

You have to push the clutch in to engage the starter that's normal. So what your saying is you have to have your gas pedal all the way to floor to start it?When it start's does it blow out a lot of black smoke?

Yes I have to put the gas pedal down to start it. No black smoke, but a lot of white smoke.

Sound like a bad coolant temp sensor make sure you get a brass tipped one the plastic tipped ones crack. Also make sure you inspect the connector going to it if it's corroded then replace the connector too. The sensor's are only 10.
