Electrical problem
1994 Saturn SL2 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive

I am attempting to use an alternator from a Saturn SL2 for a purpose other than automotive. I intend to use it to charge a standalone battery. The Alternator I have has 3 wires, one marked BATT obviously goes to the battery then there is a clip with 2 brown wires these are the ones I am not sure of. I understand that an alternatopr needs electricity to function ans assume these are the wires needed. But how do they hook up if there is no wiring harnes for them to be hooked to?

The alternator usually consists of three wires. One wire is used for the battery, always containg a fusible link between the alternator and battery itself. Another wire is (brown/white) goes to the underhood junction block then on to the instrument panel junction block (two different fuses). The last wire (brown) runs to the instrument cluster which illuminates the charge battery indicator when the charging system is low.
