2001 Saturn SL1 broken odometer

My odometer was at about 75,000 miles. Suddenly the odometer read about 100 miles. It seems as if the mileage count cleared and started at zero. Can you give me any ideas what the problem may be before I send my car to a mechanic, and if there is any simple solution to my problem?

Sorry there are no simple solutions on that one ur mileage is stored in the body controler on that car ur odometer only displays the mileage so without looking at it I would say probably a problem with the body controler every time I have seen mileage issues it has been the body controler. Let me know what u find.
