My daughter's transmission started giving her trouble a week ago. When she drives the car it runs fine for the first 20-30 minutes, but when the car engine and trans gets warmed up (normal running), she starts from a dead stop, the engine RPM increase and the trans wont shift out of first gear. The car will only run about 25 MPH. If it cools down it starts shifting again. Do I need to change the Valve Body? Or is it a bigger problem?
Please advise!
Thank You

First of all I would need to fund out what codes ur transmission has it should have some codes acting like that. My other guess is u have a plugged cat when they get plugged up they don't shift and loose power. Try this also wen it gets hot and won't shift while ur driving let up on the throttle a little and see if it will go into 2nd gear. Let me know what u find.
