I have a 1998 saturn sl with 151,000 miles, 5 speed manual, 1.9L engine. It started happening just this week. When I take my foot off the gas the engine just dies about 50% of the time. The engine seems to perform well at higher RPMs but when I come to a stop or take my foot off the gas the engine dies! Just checked the plugs they're fine. My buddy thinks it might be an oxygen sensor. But has no idea which sensor or where it is. Please respond with any suggestions or ideas!
Thanks for your help,
ERIC

This could also be your vacuum lines. When they dry rot it can cause this problem. My saturn did the exact same thing and replacing the vacuum lines fixed it.
