1994 Saturn SL1 Odometer fail = Check engine light

Engine Mechanical problem
1994 Saturn SL1 4 cyl Manual 126000 miles

When i start up the car is ok but if the odometer is not working, the check engine light come up, by the other hand if the odometer works the light is gone. The car runs good.

When u say the odometer doesn't work do u mean spedometer that tells u how fast ur going or how many miles u went?what codes do u have?

Yes, the one that tells me how fast i´m going, when the spedometer works the light is off. i haven´t codes, i didn´t scann it yet.

U probably have a 26 and or 27 I think I know what's wrong with the car but I need to know what codes u have and then we will have to do some tests.let me know what codes u have.

If u don't live in ca most auto parts stores will check them for free.do u have a autozone around where u live if u do go ask them to help u out with them.let me know what u find.

I have a 94 saturn sl1 with a check engine code 26 I changed the vehicle speed sensor and still the speed odometer is still not working. Anyone know of what else I could check or try?
