Electrical problem
1999 Saturn SC2 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 160K miles
My battery light came on so I went and had the battery checked. They said the battery was dead so I bought a new one. The car started right up but the battery light did not go off. This makes it look like the alternator I guess but ..... when I go above 3200 RPM the light goes out like the battery is charging. I was told you can't tighten the belt because it is just spring loaded. Any ideas what might be my problem. tnx
