Engine Performance problem
2001 Saturn SC1 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
Hello. my engine has a couple of problems.
1. i have to give it just a little gas on start up.
2. RPMs surge sometimes, but only when in P & N.
3. sometimes when i brake my lights dim (electrical)
4. It also takes off when put into gear, drives itself basically.

What code's do you have?It sound's like you have a bad coolant temp sensor for one if not all of your problem's.
