My transmission was leaking fluid from one of the seals so I had taken it off to put on a new seal. When I did this I noticed that some of the fluid inside had a milky white color. I didn't notice any metal shavings or fine particles in it. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

Milky white color usually means u have water in the fluid could have happened over time and not changing the fluid regularly. Go ahead and change the fluid which u should have done when u change the seal it takes transmission fluid dex 3. Does the transmission make any wierd noises?Let me know how it goes.
