Hello, I have a 1998 Saturn SL 4 cylinder with 84,000 (manual trans). It has been sitting for a few months. It wouldn't start and I was told to buy a new battery and spark plugs, and just had them put in. My friend said it was getting spark however, it is still not starting. :x
Any suggestions on what else it could be??? I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Start checking the fuses. there is a fuse panel under the hood that has ignition and engine circuit fuses and some relays that could be bad. Check these out. Also check the fuses in the dash. If all the fuses are good, try to switch some of the relays around (make sure they are the same) to see if it is a problem there.
