Hi,
I have a 1997 Saturn SL2, it has 137,000 miles on it. Just recently I overlooked an oil change and my car had no oil in it and eventually while riding on the reeway I heard some small knocking, and it was hard to accelerate. It eventually cut off and started smoking. I want to get my car fixed because itspaid for and everything else is fine with it. What did I do to my car?And what do I need to do to get it fixed? Is it worth it?

Sorry to hear about your problem.
I would guess your engine is ruined. If you have a strong desire to keep the car look into have another engine from a junkyard installed. That would be the most economical way to get back on the road. A local junk yard or e-bay should be able to help with a replacement motor. I would consider this if everything else on the car is in good condition.

Good luck and let us know. :)
