2002 Saturn L300 won't start

2002 Saturn L300 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 78,000 miles
i tried to reset check engine light by disconnecting battery for 5 minutes ,now engine will turn over but won't start ,checked all fuses ,security system has never worked since purchasing car over a year ago
