2003 Saturn Ion 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 75000 miles
We have a 2003 Saturn Ion 2 with automatic transmission. The vehicle has about 75,000 miles on it. Normally, we perform most of the maintenance and repairs to our vehicles; however, we are having a hard time trying to fix this problem. We have noticed that the car experiences sporadic unintended sudden acceleration. It makes no difference the temperature of the engine, the time of the year or the position of the gear selector. The problem does not want to go away. There is no code shown when the diagnostics is done. Apparently, there is no recall on these vehicles according to the manufacturer. We would appreciate any advice from anyone who could tell us how to correct this problem. Thank you.
