Just recently, my car has started making a loud noise somewhere in the front end. It can best be described as a loud roar. Similar to the sound of an airplane. The faster the car goes, the louder the roar. It is not related to engine RPM, as I've put the car in neutral while driving and let the engine idle and also rev the engine with no effect on the sound. I'm guessing this is going to require service at a Saturn dealer but just want to be prepared for the sticker shock. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Sounds like one of ur front wheel bearings went bad. When ur driving straight down the road and changes lanes left and right does the noise get louder when u go to the left or right?U can also put the front of the car on Jack stands put ebrake on block the rear wheels. Put the car in neatrul grab the front coil spring an spin the tire as fast as u can with the other hand if u have a bad bearing u should be able to feel it in the coil spring. Check both sides to compare. Let me know what u find.
