96 saab 900s ECM replace problem
My 96 saab 900s was intermittanly starting. After many weeks of diagnosis and false repairs, another dealership diagnosed the problem as a bad ECM. They quoted $650 for the part. I bought a used ECM online for much cheaper. the old ecm was disconnected by the dealer and was sitting on the seat when the car was towed home. I simply plugged in the purchased used ECM. However, the car still won't start. It clicks once every second. If I take the ECM out completely, it does the same thing. There is also another little green wire/connector hanging off that is bundled up with the ECM's main connector, and it wasn't attached to anything when I brought the car back. Does anybody have any ideas how to fix the problem??
