Acceleration
2001 Saab 9-3 SE
118,000 Miles
5 speed manual
2 front-wheel drive
2 liter 4 cylinder turbo-charged engine
No strange sounds or fluid leaks
Cracked head gasket replaced a few months ago.
I purchased my Saab about a year ago with 108K miles on it. Upon acceleration, it had zip, and would have no problem taking off from a dead stop. About 8 months ago I noticed the acceleration lagged as if it was trying to haul a heavy load. About 7 months ago I had a cracked head gasket and replaced it. What could be causing such a drop in low-RPM torque (so to speak)? Some mechanics say a clogged catalytic converter, a bad 02 sensor, or fuel filter. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
