2004 Saab 9-5 trunk latch
Electrical problem
2004 Saab 9-5 4 cyl Automatic 80000 miles
Someone slammed my trunk lid on my wagon and now the latch is stuck in locked position and trunk won't close. Trunk light is on and I don't know how to keep it from draining the battery until I figure out how to unstick the latch. It seems that it was jammed during the fall of the trunk lid. I could loosen it a bit, but it stops against a metal piece. I can hear the mechanism locking and unlocking but the latch won't move. What can I do???

Have you tried opening it from Inside the car. There is both a lock and latch on the inside. Unless the child latch is set on, it should open the trunk regardless...
