Engine ignition code / camshaft position sens
Computer problem
2004 Saab 9-5 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 55K miles
My Check Engine Light illuminated on my 2004 SAAB 9-5 Aero. I reset the computer and the light extinguished. The light remained out after a couple of restarts but on the third restart the light was illuminated. The computer was accessed and there were three codes present. P1334 Ignition System Fault, P1312 Ignition System Fault and P0340 Camshaft Position Sensor A Fault, in this order. Would this indicate that the Camshaft Position Sensor A requires replacement?

Both P1334 and P0340 codes just showed up on my 2001 Saab 9-5. Did you figure what the exact problem/part was per your same posting? Thanks

I have exactly the same combination of codes on a 2001 9-3. The car runs fine, fuel mileage is fine, whether the CEL is on or not. I have replaced the DIC with one from my wife's SAAB which showed no errors and still does not even with the unit from the 9-3. I'm wondering if you got any reply to your posting or if you were able to track down your issue?
