I have been given an estimate of $600 to fix this leak. The engine appears to burning, you can see smoke coming out of the engine. How dangerous is this. Can I continue to drive this way. Is it worth fixing or should I biuy a new car

What r they fixing for $6oo, if smoke coming from back of engine area then u may have just a oil pressure switch failure causing leak onto exhaust, or is the oil coming from the head gasket area or valve cover area those r the only causes for oil leak on a 4cyl type engine mostly, others may be front or rear main oil seal leaks or oil pan , also it is recommended to update crankcase ventilation system with new type that is out now for the 4cyl engine. Post back soon. Good luck
