I got a new engine put in my car about 2 months ago, and two weeks later my car shuts off when I am stopped or stopping. I took it in 6 times trying to fix the problem and still it continues. They uncrinkled the vacuum, put a new part that starts with a m, and I can't even recall any more. So basically I am asking why would my car be shutting off and now when I am driving it jerks occassionally.

check, clean or replace the MAF (mass airflow) sensor ... check fuel pressure add a good fuel cleaner to the fuel tank to clean the lines and injectors !
