Hello guys. I need some help from some of you mechanics out there. I have a 1991 Suzuki Samurai. This year was the first year they had come out with the EFI system. I got it stock from my Grandpa, so it came with this system. This system was giving me nothing but trouble, so I asked my uncle (who has a 88 carbureted Samurai) if I should switch it over to a carburetor. He said yes, and took his advice. I really had nothing to lose anyways. So I called a man down in Tampa, and he sent me all the things I would need to get it going with a carburetor. He sent me the intake manifold, the coil, the distributor (and a new rotor), a fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator (I set it to 3 lbs like he told me to), and the gas tank I would need. After I got all of that stuff, I ordered my Weber Carburetor. After I received that in the mail, I got to work. I put all of the parts on, and took it to a mechanic to get it running. Well, he did get it running, but after about 5-10 mins, it will shut off. He says it may have something to do with the distributor, but I'm not to sure that's the problem because it will run for a little bit. Any ideas guys? Help would be greatly appreciated!

Shouldn't the fuel pressure regulator be holding it at 3psi?
