I'd like to know how much it'd cost to repair a rover 75 1999 reg 2.0 v6 club, when it has a gear selector problem?

And i'd like to know if the gear selector problem can even be fixed at all?

Depends on where the problem is. There is a slector cable from slector to transmission this can easily be replaced. If this is good the problem may be a bad control module or internal on the transmission and it would need stripping down to discover the fault. A transmission repair centre is the best option for diagnosis !
