1999 Rover 75 Repair Question
Asked on September 16, 2009
1999 Rover 75 car engine bonnet
1999 Rover 75 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
I need to open the engine bonnet or gain access into the engine compartment as the bonnet cables are inoperative. The bonnet is closed.
I suspect that the cable pull connector has pulled off the bodywork making it impossible to open the bonnet from inside the car.
Many thanks,
ER Salisbury

Hi there,
Thank you for the donation,
We don't have a lot of information on Rovers at the moment, so what i would suggest is to take the car to a mechanic and get it up on a hoist, or jack it up and remove any splash trays fitted, you may be able to reach up from under the car with a screwdriver and trip the lock that way, i have done this on a few models over the years with this problem, try this first.
