I have a 1998 automatic 2000cc laguna 90,000 miles.

The gearbox seems to kick down
when I go over 50 miles an hour, and the electronic light comes on stating transmission problem.(refer to handbook)


Has anyone had any similar problems ?, how did they overcome it ?, was it expensive problem to fix?, would it be worth reparing ?, as the car runs perfectly apart from this.
