1999 Renault Megane Manual

Hi, Ive got a Renault Megane 1.4 rt. I have been having some starting problems, it turns over but doesnt fire up, almost like when you run out of fuel (which i havent). Someone said to try to change the relays. Which I believe I have although the handbook doesnt show positioning of them. Well i changed all 3 and it still wont start every now and then. Sometimes it wont start for hours other times it can fire up after 3 or 4 attempts.
Has anyone got any ideas as I have taken it to a garage and as the problem didnt happen there and then they cannot find anything wrong with it.
