My fan in my car does not work on settings 1, 2 and 3, it does work on 4 though, I have heat, I have air con but it doesnt work, I have been told by renault garage that it has something to do with the rheostat, does this have something to do with the fan matrix, can I repair it by fixing it with a new resistor or does it need a new motor or what would I have to do to get it working?I have read some threads that say U can repair it via the glove box, is this the way to go about it?

Yes you need to replace the resisitor located on the heater housing box .. you can replace it by removing the glove box !!
