2006 Renault Clio Engine cutting out

Hi

My car broke down last nite - when I started it and changed gears it started jumping and shaking and then cut out and it wouldn't start for about half hour then when I started it again there was a terrible smell off the engine. I only replaced it with some kind of Absorber that is always meant to go in Renaults something with the name of G I cant remember. Can anyone help I need the car for work.

Check/replace the ignition coils ... also have the CKP (crankshaft position) sensor checked replaced !!
