Hi,

My clio is a diesiel 1.5 dci from 2003.
Whilst driving (accelerating or not) and just after changing gear (typically from 2nd to 3rd), the car starts "jumping". In 4th gear things are ok. I get the problem when in need to go down to 3rd gear again.
At times the electrical fault symbol comes up on the dashboard.
I dont get any issues when the car is just started and in first gear. Also the electrical fault symbol is not on when the car is idle.

Not too sure what this is related to. Can anyone advise? I would like to get an opinion on what the issue could be. Clutch, electrical fault?

Does the engine over rev/race? I would have said the clutch is going bad. Except for the fact that the electrical fault warning light is coming on. It is possibly an electrical fault on the injectors or glow plugs causing a misfire which causes the car to hesitate/jump. It could be a bad wiring connection or ECU sending the wrong signals. The vehicle should be storing fault codes in the ECU (electronc control unit). Have the car plugged into a diagnostic computer to see if any codes or pending codes are present !

The ECU reading apparently says there is a faulty sensor so it will get replaced tomorrow.
Thanks again
