2000 Renault Clio 71000 miles

Hi, The amber engine management light has started to come on and flash for periods of time and then go off again, when its on I have felt a small loss of exceleration once and slight chugging from time to time when the light is flashing apart form this the car is running smoothly. Any idea what this might be? Thanks

Have the vehicle's computer read by diagnostic scanner this will tell you where the fault lies ..it's probably just a coil fault ...
