POWER STEERING/SEPENTINE BELT

My belt tensioner broke when I started my car. I drove it aprox 1/8 of a mile and parked it. I changed the tensioner and reinstalled my belt. I made sure that it is tracking properly and correctly lined up on all pullys but now when I drive it it vibrates when and only when I turn the steering wheel. Is it posible that I damaged my power steering system when I drove it while the power steering was deactivated due to the belt tensioner being broken?
