1997 Porsche 993 Repair Question

Water drain from fuel tank inlet recess
1997 Porsche 993 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual
After washing the car, water accumulates in the fuel tank inlet area, creating a reservoir of water. On close inspection, and sponging the water, I see the small tube at the bottom of the area is not draining. My efforts to clear the tube by inserting a long flexible wire, into the tube, were unsuccessful, as the wire only goes so far and stops.
Any suggestions for clearing out this blocked drain line would be appreciated.
Thanks, Tim (Air cooled)
