1991 Pontiac Wave fuse for fuel pump keeps blowing

1991 Pontiac Wave 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 160000 miles
we replaced the silinod and messed with the nutural safty now it runs but the fuel pump fuse keeps blowing.we unhooked the fuel pump and it still blows.
