1999 Pontiac Trans Am Clutch
Transmission problem
1999 Pontiac Trans Am V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual 92,000 miles
I'd noticed my master was really low on fluid. I filled it up but I could not get into any gear, unless car was off. It finally started working, but now when I engage 1st or reverse, as I release pedal, car begins to shake. It has gotten worse. Could it be that the fluid level got too low and trapped air in slave? Could bleeding slave fix this? I have a 6speed manual and the rest of the gears are fine as I row through them, it's only at a dead stop, either 1st or reverse.

Hi there, you will have a leak in the Master or the slave cylinder, this will have to be fixed first, a bleed will solve the problem until you run low oil fluid again, every time you push the clutch in you will be loosing a small amount of fluid.
Thank you for using 2carpros, feedback is most welcome.
