Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1965 Pontiac Tempest V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic
i have a 65 pontiac tempest/clone gto. the left rear wheel is leaking grease. if i remove the brake drum and remove the 4 bolts that holds the axel in, will i be able to get the axel out. or does it have a c - clip in the rearend that has to be pulled first than remove the 4 bolts holding the axel in. thanks for any info. i am hoping i dont have to drain the rearend grease and remove the rear cover. jb.

that one could be either way. try taking the 4 bolts out an d if the axle pulls out then you are ok, but if it doesn't you'll have to pull the pan and pull the c-clip.
